Remember when I asked you guys if you wanted to see chicken pot pies or a cheesy thing?

Well it took a while but it’s delivery time!

I tend to get things like chicken helper meals because I am lazy, but I also like to add things to them recently I have been messing with Velveeta cheesy skillets which I made in a pot and double the servings to feed about 6-8 people depending on who may be over for dinner.

Here we have a cheesy chicken and broccoli kit. I like to get an extra cheese packet and a bag of broccoli slaw for this to make a bit healthier

No the phone is not a part of the recipe!

So I just make it based on the recipe. I prebake my chicken to save time or cut down on the prep work see below it was baked the night before no seasoning needed since it was going into another dish.

I begin heating up the chicken first separately honestly I know how to make all of these boxed meal because they are all more or less the same

  • Get the stuff
  • Prep the stuff like cut meats
  • Put stuff in pot
  • Bring stuff to boil stirring occasionally
  • Cover and lower heat stirring occasionally (let it simmer)
  • When your pasta looks ready or is cooked to your liking serve (or when most of the water is gone)
  • Serve warm and refrigerate left overs

That is how most of the boxed dinners play out but I felt they never have enough veggies so if broccoli slaw or mixed soup veggies sound like they work in it I just throw in a few cups of a whole bag in this case.
